Student Conduct
Student Affairs and Services (SAS), and Safety, Security and Risk Management (SSRM) work collaboratively with students, faculty and campus partners, to help resolve disputes in a restorative and respectful manner. We can offer consultation and advising to faculty and staff regarding potential (and/or actual) student conduct cases and incidents, and how to best respond. When appropriate, we may act as an investigator on behalf of the department, and provide recommendations to the responsible administrator (RA). We at times may take on a complex conduct case completely. Where possible our goal is to help students learn from conduct incidents. To that end we may provide guidance, referral for support, case management or educational resources that can help students gain insights into their conduct. Additionally, we train and educate staff, faculty, and students about the student conduct process and student rights and responsibilities. Our goal is to foster an environment that is safe, supportive, inclusive, fair, and conducive to learning.
